From the period of 2017-2020, I participated in something that would change the course of my life forever. I spent hours a day playing Minecraft PVP. My friends and I would all boot up Minecraft, join the Hypixel server, and play Skywars or Bedwars until one of our parents would yell at us to go to bed. If you aren’t familiar with Minecraft PVP games, it’s basically a worse version of Fortnite, or some other online Battle Royale. I used to be terrible at these games so I only played with my friends when I was bored. I lost sleep over this, I was genuinely upset that I was not as good as my friends. Then one day, something clicked. Either the kids who were logging onto Hypixel were getting significantly worse, or I had gotten better. Either way, I didn’t care. I was kicking butt in Skywars and clowning on seven-year-olds in Bedwars. From that point on, I spent hours on Minecraft every day after school. I used to get my homework done in the middle of my classes in order to maximize my play time. I blame the reasoning behind my work ethics and always getting homework done fast due to my minor addiction to Minecraft at a young age
