    Setting off the Truth
    A time lapse from Superior’s Wildflower Park captures the flight paths of planes departing from the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport between 8 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 8. Within the span of an hour, an estimated 30 planes flew over these neighboring houses. Two-hundred-thirty homeowners have filed a lawsuit against RMMA over the noise from low-flying aircraft.

    Sierra Colvin (12) performs “Made Up Mind” by Tedeschi Trucks Band with her house band at their Southern Rock mid-season show. She sang with her bandmates, as well as younger musicians, and acted as their mentor.

    Crawford’s design, titled “No Bad Ideas.” He was awarded a Scholastic Gold Key, an award given to young artists. The piece is currently being judged for national awards.

    MJ Macias (23) and her family came to the United States as undocumented immigrants in 2021. While they have received legal status, she still lives in fear because of deportation policies implemented by President Trump's administration.

    Eliza Lennox (12) prepares to dive into the pool at State. On Feb. 12, Lennox swam in the 100 Free, earning one of many first place medals of the night.

    Working for a point, Shayla Martinez (10) competes in the state championship match at Ball Arena on Feb. 15. She won the match and became the first girls wrestling state champion in BVSD history.
