Getting Your Game On

Junior Jack Ferry rallies and stays strong, despite being injured for most of the season

For Jack Ferry, playing tennis is more than just a sport. He has been playing tennis for as long as he can remember. “I’ve been playing tennis basically since I could walk,” said Ferry. “It’s almost always been apart of my life.”

So when Ferry ran into back problems, he wasn’t going to let that stop him. With the help of the new Boys Tennis coaches, Duke Paluch and Noah Sussman, he finished the season strong. “We had a successful season with new head coaches, who definitely contributed to the success, so they were good to have around,” said Ferry.

Regardless of the back injury Ferry obtained, his love for tennis stays strong. “I love how [tennis] is a problem solving sport and you can’t just do the same thing over and over again. It’s like a chess match, you have to constantly adapt to what’s going on, and that’s the fun part,” Ferry said.
