My canon event was my filter phase in middle school. I got Snapchat in 2018 and at first, it was amazing, just having it was the best thing ever. But after I got it, I had no one to snap, I never got anyone’s snap. So I just had the app, it sat idle on my phone, collecting dust. That was only until I learned about filters. Oh my gosh, filters were everything to me. I had no one to send my filter pictures to (thankfully) but I have never had so much fun. I used every filter it seemed like. I used everything from filters that gave me cute little ears to sparkles around my head. I thought I looked amazing too. When I had that filter on I was a whole new person, a person with fake makeup that disappeared if I moved ever so slightly and a pixilated flower crown. Sadly, I do still have these saved in my Snapchat memories but there they will stay until the end of time.
