With an interest in digital design, Taylor Spalding (10) joined the newspaper and will be undergoing her first year as a staff member, and it’s already her favorite class. 

“I want to make something that is long-lasting at Monarch,” Spalding said. 

Outside of newspaper class, Spalding finds a passion for sports, being an outside DS for the Monarch JV volleyball team, along with soccer, where she competed on the JV team last year. 

Outside of school, Spalding finds herself traveling, where her favorite place is Portugal. 

“I love to go to the beach,” Spalding said. “Even though we don’t have a beach here, that’s why I like traveling a lot.”
